Three stereotypes that Black men are often "only seen" to be, want to be, or the only things "they can achieve to be". The film shows the nuances of how single-minded people can be when it comes to talent. Only Seen As Three is meant to highlight that although this life path may be ideal for some, or a circumstance that there may be no way out of, no one really cares to understand the depth behind it. Because that is just "the same ole thing.
